Marketing research is an organized and systematic way of gathering,
recording and analyzing marketing related data. It is primarily
concerned with overall marketing processes. To satisfy customers
with brand and company’s performance it is imperative to know what
they really want and like to buy. To know their psyche and buying
behavior, marketing research is being conducted. It reduces risks of
products failure because products are being design after an
extensive research on consumer’s behavior. There are two types of
research method; primary and secondary. Primary research is what you
conduct yourself for the first time ever while secondary research is
what others have already done; already gathered information.
Secondary data is found through different publications, internet,
firm’s performance reports etc.   
One of the valuable method for research are surveys in form of
questionnaires in which respondents are being asked different questions
to know what they think and what is their approach. Surveys can be
conducted electronically, on phone and on paper hard copy etc. Another
way is to conduct interviews. One can ask related questions to
interviewee to know what they feel regarding any product or company.
